Follow road out of airport following green French motorway signs signposted to GENEVRE/LA PRAILLE.
Get in right hand lane and follow road round to the right.
Go through tunnel (longish) see sign on right for BERNOX 200m.
Go through another tunnel and you will see signs in green saying PERLY and LA PAILLE in green. Continue straight on the road.
Go through a 3rd tunnel (sign for PERLY 1500m) you will see a French motorway sign for E25 and E62.
Follow the Blue A40 and E25 signs.
You will see signs for CHAMONIX/TURIN/GRENOBLE.
Keep following signs for Chamonix and stay on A40. Road bends a little to the right you will see McDonalds and MIGROs on your left.
The Telepeage comes up soon and costs 3 euros. You will see signs for EVIAN/THONON.
Continue on A40/E25 towards TURIN/MILAN/CHAMONIX and keep going for 10 km or so.
You will approach the last payage. Chamonix is 38 km from here.
After a while you will come to the end of the motorway and join continuation dual carriageway N205. Follow the road uphill.
Go through short tunnel - Chamonix now 12 km.
See sign for LES HOUCHES. Pass this and pass NOVOTEL on right hand side. Go straight over roundabout by Mont Blanc Tunnel entrance.
As you approach Chamonix town centre, go straight over roundabout (Centre Ville).
At next roundabout go straight over up to main town centre.
Pass Albert 1er Hotel Restaurant on right hand side of bridge, turn right at next roundabout and take the right hand exit signposted LES PRAZ.
It is straight all the way from here. Keep going until the roundabout where you see the EDEN HOTEL. Take a left at the roundabout and then at the next junction, go straight over. The Car Park is for LA FLEGERE. Park in there and the chalet is the largest chalet to the left. |
